Ah, it's that time again, where I talk about what I did and didn't get done for the month. So I actually had a couple of exciting things come up at the end of the month, but other than that, it was just nose-to-the-grindstone type work for RealmieWriMo.
My January goals were to...
*Finish revisions for CSAL
*Revise WBCM
*Work toward publishing Rooted
*Begin writing Super Secret Project C
My January accomplishments...
As part of RealmieWriMo, I finished revisions and proofread CSAL--preorders now live--and I revealed the cover! We're almost to the finish line, folks, and I'm more than ready to have this pup out in the world. I was also able to work on major revisions for WBCM, including cover tweaks and figuring out the overarching plot for the rest of the series, which needed redone. I also wrote the first chapter for the next book in the series, BB4, and am looking forward to writing that one. It's cute. Finally, I started exploring a couple of side-quest projects, like Project A, which I'll continue working on at my leisure. And not only did I begin writing Project C, I finished writing it! It was a hoof to get it over the finish line at the end of January, but we're there and I am so glad. Now for...revisions...*deflates*
But the exciting things for this month? First of all, I asked my pastor if he would write a foreword for my upcoming devotional, Rooted, and he really knocked it out of the ballpark! I'm finishing one final run-through with proofreading and will be ready to roll for an April release date. Plus, I sorted the cover out after literally spending years working on concepts and not being satisfied with any of them. (Oof.)
Finally, and this isn't an accomplishment of mine because I had no clue it was coming until I got a message on Facebook, but an excerpt from Back to Him, my devotional, was read on-air for a local radio show, In the Vineyard, hosted by some friends of mine!
