RELEASE DAY: COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS by Brooklyne Elysse!

Hey everyone! I had the privilege of reading and reviewing an eARC edition of this beautiful little Christmas novella, the debut for Brooklyne Elysse, and I couldn't be more proud of her for this gorgeous book! Check out some info about the book below. It's available now!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

What would you do if you only had three months left to live?

That’s the question swirling in fifteen-year-old Amelia Cadence’s mind when she gets devastating news: The cancer has returned, and it’s more aggressive than ever. Determined that the rest of her life will serve a purpose—and won’t be wasted simply waiting for the inevitable—she hatches a plan to befriend her elderly, scrooge-like neighbor. But it’s not as easy to coax a smile from Old Man Kramer as she’d thought it would be, and as her time begins to run out, so does her hope. As she wrestles with doubt over God’s character, she must learn the importance of surrender—and that her worth lies in far more than the number of her days.

Countdown to Christmas speaks both to the pain of a cancer diagnosis in a teenager, as well as the loss that comes with the onset of Alzheimer's disease in an elderly neighbor. This story demonstrates the selfless love of a strong friendship bond, supportive parents, and therapy dogs that help bridge the gap to healing.

MY REVIEW:

Countdown to Christmas starts with a gut-punch and will keep you invested until the end. This debut novella has all the ingredients for a perfect Christmas story--heartfelt, impactful, and a powerful reminder to not only trust in the Lord, but to also shine our light to those hurting around us. It's nostalgic for 90s kids, a total tear-jerker, and a story that almost anyone will relate to in on
e way or another--the perfect combo for fans of contemporary fiction.
